As part of the integrated Florida Department of Health, DOH-DeSoto provides essential public health services to more than 40,000 residents within the county. We lead DeSoto County’s public health system, which includes private, public, and voluntary entities that provide health care and other services to our community.
We hold ourselves accountable to the public and foster a caring, compassionate culture where the client and the public are our first concerns. Our leadership supports a culture that values honesty, integrity, and personal responsibility. We foster diversity and mutual respect, and trust, loyalty, and compassion are at the foundation of how we conduct business. Our staff members embody these values, and we all work together to protect, promote, and improve the health of DeSoto County residents and all Floridians.
