The Florida Department of Health in DeSoto County (DOH-DeSoto) provides culturally sensitive services to meet the needs of our diverse community and to protect the health and well-being of DeSoto County residents. This supportive environment assists our patients in taking an active role in their personal health promotion and health maintenance. We offer a variety of health education initiatives and services.

Our medical services are designed to give affordable access to medical care for insured, uninsured and underinsured clients. Patients providing qualifying income information may be eligible for reduced rates.
FDOH – DeSoto offers a discounted/sliding fee schedule; you will not be denied access to services due to inability to pay.
